n a secluded mountain valley lies the castle of the Hidden Kingdom, a huge stone edifice. Ruled by the benevolent King Verminakus, the castle is a well-defended stronghold, its hallways unceasingly patrolled by veteran guards.

In the rest of the valley, outside the castle walls, it seems that time has moved very strangely. Explorers report that the valley includes a jungle inhabited by huge, fierce dinosaurs, creatures who died out in most other lands many thousands of years ago. Further adventurers claim that outside the valley, in the mountains, tunnels and caverns have been colonized by primitive proto-humans long believed extinct.
