merging from the Forest of Rhowyn, the Blackgate Mountains dominate the northeast region of the Surface. Amongst the hills and peaks is the source of the Rhowyn River, the only fresh water in the otherwise barren landscape. The region's cold, dark atmosphere lends itself as a perfect home for the dangerous Abyss.
