weeping across the northwestern corner of the Surface, the Dunes of Thakilran are a desolate, sandy span of desert that is inhospitable to most creatures. The landscape is dominated by seas of sand and small ridges of rock that peek through the harsh dunes. The city of Teron, though certainly more prosperous before the desert's encroachment, has adapted well to its new clime, even to the point of settling the Greensprings Oasis to the east. To the south of Teron, a gypsy caravan has set up their wares as an escape from the persecution of their lifestyle. The region is surrounded to the north by the Wyvern's Teeth and to the east by the Talonguard Mountains. The southwestern edge of the Dunes is bordered by the Sunhaven Hills, which blends the perilous nature of the desert with the beginnings of a green, rolling landscape.
