he twin cities of Thalos are well known to adventurers and explorers of the Surface, situated far to the east of Nevrast by the Great Eastern Desert. Old Thalos lies in ruins, its wrecked streets and moldering buildings roamed by lamias, hideous beholders, and other monsters who came out of the Great Eastern Desert to ravage the city and drive off or kill all its people.
