The Dragonrealm

Sages and veteran explorers speak with awe of the far-off realm of the dragon lords, and of the mighty dragon queen Tiamat, among the greatest champions of chaos and destruction ever to afflict the Surface. Lorebooks claim, and accounts of the few lucky explorers who have entered the Dragonrealm and lived to tell the tale confirm, that the domain of the draconic lords is a realm divided against itself. Four chromatic dragon lords serve the forces of darkness and mayhem, like their queen. The other four lords, the leaders of the metallic dragons, are champions of righteousness and light. All dragonkind within this realm cleaves to one lord or another, and so battle is joined between the opposing draconic factions.
