he North Fens are situated at the rocky base of the mountains known as Ered Lithui. A mixture of mountain runoff, ash, and swamps, the fens exude a terrible stench that permeates everything that they come into contact with. The floor of the region is covered with poisonous, barbed, scrub vegetation and algae that floats amongst the surface waters. To the south, the enormous Mount Doom dominates the horizon, emitting an evil aura that cannot be matched. The tower of Barad-Dur rises to the southeast, presenting yet another challenge for those who dare to enter Mordor.
