he western name for Carach Angren, the "Jaws of Iron", the Isenmouthe is the narrow conduit between the Vale of Udun and the plateau of Gorgoroth. A guard tower sits on the last peak of each range, the Mountains of Shadow to the southwest and the Ash Mountains to the northeast. Spiked iron palisades running between the two towers and blocking the road gives this place its name.
