Svirfneblin Mines

ot all the svirfnebli in the Underdark live behind the fortifications of Galtherdelve. Over centuries of war and raiding, many have been taken prisoner by the drow of Aluhryn and put to work as slaves. One of the largest culprits in this is House Tormtor, which is always keen for more svirfneblin captives to work in the Fungus Gardens.

A group of svirfnebli scouts and raiders has set up a base near Aluhryn from which they raid drow establishments—particularly the hated Tormtors—in order to rescue svirfnebli slaves and clandestinely repatriate them to their homes. The raiders are few, as stealth and speed are their greatest advantage, and thus far their base remains hidden from the frustrated drow guards and bugbear overseers. Deeper in the Underdark, beneath the base proper, the svirfneblin have begun to excavate a mine. It is unknown what they are mining here, but rumor has it that many earth elementals have been summoned to aid them in their labors.
