Lord of the Realm

The senior administrators of the game. Their word is the law of the land.

Faethor
Mallery Forrester aka Murlynd

Loremaster

A Loremaster's authority extends to every aspect of the game. Loremasters have the final say in any matter that a Lord of the Realm does not choose to take a personal hand in.

Woe

Overlord

Overlords, under the supervision of Loremasters, concentrate on the observation and maintenance of balance among objects. This is the most touchy of the three implementation levels, and requires great diligence and an excellent sense of game balance.

Tempest rains Innocence on the Dead
Valor the Confidently Inept

Archon

This level continues the function of Navigators into the creation of mobiles. Mfold is the primary command at this level; they may also eradicate irredeemable characters, advance Creators who have completed their mobiles to Artificers, or restrict buggy or abused commands to higher levels.

Thralen the Bringer of Fire

Navigator

The principal function of a Navigator is the preservation of the sanctity and cleanliness of the world. They, with viewfile and rfold, should clear the world of typos and work closely with the room-checking immortals to insure that area creators' work is swiftly added. Naturally, they must make certain that anything folded is well done, and will not need constant refolding to meet appropriate standards.

Navigators have access to the immortalize and advance commands; they may, after consultation with the Lords of the Realm, immortalize any mortal who has met the requirements to become a god, or may advance a Craftsman who has completed his rooms to Creator.

Navigators also have broad discretion in their interaction with the mortal realm, using animate and BalZur as necessary to insure order. This is the first level that may run quests completely on their own recognizance, without need to obtain approval first.

Mediator

These immortals have the pleasant duty of regulating the other immortals. Any complaints about a lower immortal should reach a Mediator first. These immortals, as the name suggests, both settle disputes and search out the misuse of godly powers.

Magnate

This is the last of the low level administrative levels. Magnates continue the duties of the Maruts; however, area checking is extended to mobiles. This level also has the ability to massign and oassign mobile and object creation ranges.

Magnates have access to the watchdog command and may read the Codework and Organization board, and are thus the lowest-level immortals who should take the initiative in investigating, documenting, and resolving code bugs.

Marut

As a Marut, you begin the duties of a low-level administrator. These duties include both player and non-player areas. Maruts are the immortals who should take first responsibility for dealing with offensive players, using force and petrify as needed.

Maruts are also the immortals who should begin the checking process by doing room checks, and have the ability to rassign room creation ranges.

Maruts may, at their discretion, assist a lower-level immortal—all the way down to Craftsman—with running a quest, provided the lower immortal has acquired clearance for the quest from a Navigator or higher.

Seraph

With the knowledge of the game they have gained to this point, Seraphs make appropriate interface with the mortal realm. They both patrol Mozart for annoying users, and do what they can (within the rules and their given capacities) to help the Mud run smoothly for the players.

Seraphs have the ability to gag troublesome players, and, like Einheriar, may transfer players to Hell in emergencies. They are still expected to consult with any higher immortals present before taking action.

Einheriar

The Einheriar level is the last step in the process of area creation. At this level, the immortal zones and finishes his first area. Einheriar are still expected to bump mortal problems up the chain of command, for the most part, but have access to the punish command should it prove necessary, and may transfer especially disruptive characters to Hell in extreme cases.

Einheriar may run quests on their own, subject to prior approval of a Navigator or higher.

Karu Devilboon
Legislator Hobbit Warlord on the Bounce
Perin Mastic Knows Death

Artificer

This level continues the creation process by making objects. Mortal interaction guidelines are the same as for Craftsmen.

Asiel Be'lein Lord of Thieves

Belit-Sheri

Creator

This level continues the creation process by making mobiles. Mortal interaction guidelines are the same as for Craftsmen.

Aurican
Heraclitus Fluximus the High Sorcerer
Jonas Took the Occasional Hobbit
Vestacha Blaze DC Human Border Collie!

Craftsman

This level begins the area creation process with room editing, and introduces new gods into the immortal system. Craftsmen should generally avoid interference with the mortal world, other than to answer questions that can be found in the help files, direct players to the Cartography Guild in Nevrast, and to aggressively interact with and answer questions of new players. Craftsmen may assist in quests run by an Einheriar or higher, or may run their own under the supervision and with the help of a Marut or higher.

Chin the Gnomish God
Melisande the Curious Cat

Traveler

The Traveler level is used for two purposes on Mozart Mud: courtesy immortals granted to visiting dignitaries from elsewhere, and Mozart immortals who are inactive for whatever reason.

Baldeador
Trex
Vasquito

Slug

This level exists as a public punishment for immortals who have seriously broken the rules, but not so severely as to warrant deletion. Any immortal residing at this level would do well to contact a Loremaster or Lord of the Realm as soon as possible.
